Adaptive Behaviour: Life, Safety, Independence, and Community Competence for Adolescents and Adults with ASD

Join us for a video presentation by Dr. Peter Gerhardt, Ed.D. of the Organization for Autism Research, Behaviour Analyisis Center for Autism, VA, USA.

Topic: What is Adaptive Behaviour? Why is adaptive behaviour important for an individual on the autism spectrum to become independent and competent across different environments in the community? What adaptive behaviours are critical intervention targets? How to intervene/how to select goals and work on it to increase adaptive behaviour?

Dr. Gerhardt has more than 35 years’ experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in support of adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders in educational, employment, residential and community-based settings.
