and Certified ESDM Therapist

Tuesday, April 18 – 7pm – 9pm

Venue: Welsh Hall West, downstairs at
West Vancouver Memorial Library
1950 Marine Drive, West Vancouver
The library is easily accessible via Highway #1 Upper Levels, taking either 15th or 20th St. exits

TOPIC:
Hilary and Michele, both BCBA's, will be speaking about the Early Start Denver Model and how it relates to ABA. As the interest in ESDM grows, so does the confusion around it. The speakers will explain why formal training is required for ESDM providers and how parents can identify those who are qualified to practice this method as part of a scientific behavioural treatment strategy. In addition to the general overview, Michele and Hilary will also touch on the key role parents play and level of involvement; what intervention will look like in the home with ESDM; and what to expect for data and treatment goals.

SPEAKERS:
Michele Shilvock, BCBA, is a behaviour consultant with many years of experience with children of all ages.
Hilary McClinton, M. Ed., BCBA and Certified ESDM Therapist. Hilary has been working in early intervention for many years and have recently focused her practice on infant and toddler interventions, specifically ESDM.
