Burnaby Community Group

Friday January 31, 2020
9:45-12:15

Studio, #303 – 3701 East Hastings, Burnaby

Each month across the province, volunteer facilitators host free community groups. Attended by parents, extended family (often grandparents) community members and advocates, the groups provides valuable support to families affected by autism by connecting them with relevant ASD information and resources, and offering a safe and encouraging environment to share experiences. Monthly meetings help bring families together in their efforts to navigate the autism journey.

This month we will have three guest speakers who will be discussing the Transition into Adulthood

Monique Nelson: Director of Community Engagement, posAbiliites,

Rachel Goddyn: Family Services Consultant, Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI)

Meaghen Taylor-Reid and Julian Wilson: Navigators, Services to Adults with Developmental Disabilities (STADD), Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD)

Coffee and snacks will be provided.
