AutismBC Goes Swimming in Courtenay!

AutismBC would like to invite our members and their families for an evening of swimming at the Courtenay Outdoor Pool.

Where: Courtenay Outdoor Pool 489 Old Island Hwy, Courtenay, BC V9N 3P5

When: Saturday, July 21st

Time: 4:45 - 6:45pm

This is a free event, but registration is required. Register Here so your family may attend.

Please note the rules and regulations for the evening:

• The first 5 minutes of the rental will be explaining rules; the last 5 minutes of rental will be rounding up kids to get out of the pool.
• Swimmers Level 4 and under, or those who are unsure of their level, must perform a swim test before they will be permitted to swim in the deep end. Swim tests will be done within the first 10 minutes of the rental only, or later on by request.
• Level 5 and up may go to the deep end without a swim test.
• If your numbers change by more than by 5 people the Lewis Centre should be notified as it may affect the number of lifeguards required. Swimmers in excess of 5 without notification will not be permitted into the pool.
• If lifejackets are needed it would be appreciated if they could bring their own whenever possible as we don’t always have enough supplies.
• All children must be accompanied by a parent/support worker/guardian
• Individual family change-room stalls are available on deck.
• If possible, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your rental and check in with the lifeguard, so you can have all people changed and ready on deck for instructions in order to get maximum time in the pool.
• Please remind children to put all personal belongings in a bag and bring it on to the pool deck with them for safekeeping. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
