AutismBC is excited to announce a new program specifically for grandparents.

Connecting with Your Grandchild on the Spectrum Though Storytelling is coming to the AutismBC Lending Library, thanks to a generous grant from the Autism Welcome Here project (Libraries and Autism: We're Connected). 

  • Session 1 – Tuesday, October 23 - Intro to ASD with an AutismBC Information Officer
  • Session 2 –  Wednesday, October 31 - Literacy & ASD 
  • Session 3 – Wednesday, November 7 - Engaging Storytelling Techniques I 
  • Session 4 – Wednesday, November 14 - Engaging Storytelling Techniques II
  • Session 5 – Wednesday, November 21 - A Visit to the Richmond Public Library 
  • Session 6 – Wednesday, November 28 - Putting it all Together and Sharing Successes 

The sessions will take place at the GoodLife Fitness Family Autism Hub in Richmond (3688 Cessna Drive) from 11 am to 1 pm. For session 5 we will meet at the Richmond Public Library (7700 Minoru Gate) at noon.

There will be a $10 registration fee for this program, however no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The program is open to any grandparent in the community, whether your family is waiting for assessment, diagnosed, or considering your options.
